I don't understand why someone would deny a student this opportunity! Seems to me you would want as much participation as possible. Cutting any positions for these kids is a real dick move!!! You should be ashamed.

Having my own dream crushed in high school, I understand! Let her twirl! I am of the opinion that a director, sponsor or coach who does not acknowledge EVERY individual who has talent and a desire to participate shouldn't be a director, sponsor or coach! During Mr. Crook's tenure as director, there weren't as many students at EH, yet year after year the band continued to grow! Makes you wonder what's going on now since the student body has INCREASED! The twirler my 4 years at East Hall was praised all of the time for her performances and I believe in letting people live out their passions in the way they desire. There is no reason to break someone's dream because of one man's opinion. I am looking forward to coming back for a East Hall football game at home this next season and seeing her twirling on that field!

In my opinion, watching the twirlers is the best part of the halftime show! I've seen Kristy perform and she has perfect talent! It shouldn't go to a waste. Also, I've heard from many of my peers he is changing a lot about band - which takes the fun out of it all! (I've never participated in band, but by the sound of it, this is ALL unfair!) #letkristytwirl

Cutting twirlers, flagetts and color guard. Wow, Mercer Crook was so proud of the band. It is sad to see a former band member destroy what took years to build.
