Started by Kenny Gunter 10 years, 9 months ago

Kenny Gunter is looking to start an ammo manufacturing company in his garage at 9605 Makiposa Lane in the Harmon Ranch community. The Harmon Ranch HOA has stated that due to liability and other reasons, the board would not allow this safe, home based business to be run out of his garage. By signing this petition, I understand that Kenny Gunter would have to adhere to local, state zoning and laws as well as federal restrictions as overseen by the ATF. I also understand that Kenny Gunter agrees to carry a general liability policy for this home based business and I believe that he should be able to run this business from him garage.

As a neighbor and fellow home owner in Harmon Ranch, I sign my name in approval and ask that the HOA board allows Kenny Gunter to persue his business at his home address in accordance with local, state and federal laws.

Updates

December 2, 2015

I have officially requested a formal hearing with the Harmon Ranch HOA board to discuss the specific liability concerns they raised. My legal counsel is currently drafting a proposal that outlines how we plan to maintain compliance with all ATF and zoning regulations. I expect to receive a response regarding a meeting time by the end of the week.

The scale of support reached today provides the formal leverage required to approach the HOA board directly. I am currently drafting a letter outlining our position to be delivered to the management office tomorrow.

I don't think he should need the permission of the HOA to run a business out of his own home, but I would absolutely support my neighbor and his endeavor.

If he is taking all the necessary steps and precautions then there isn't a problem.

There are many already manufacturing bullets. It isn't like he is asking for a permit for a Meth-Lab.
