KATIE BYNUM was involved in an incident outside the Millbrook Prom last Friday, May 11th. Everyone involved got different levels of punishment with Katie's being the harshest. Wakefield High School is not allowing her to give her Valedictorian speech at graduation as part of her punishment because they say they are embarrassed to have her represent the school. Nothing could be farther from the truth. We do not think this is fair and we think Katie should be allowed to give her speech. She is a kind, sweet girl with the biggest heart! She always helps anyone who needs it. We are proud and honored to have her as our Valedictorian! A poor choice should not outweigh the years of hard work and dedication or her strong character.
