Ok everybody!! Not just nerds and geeks. October 30th was the announcement that Disney's purchase of Lucasfilm for 4.5 billion dollars!! OK, we can deal with that, but then in the same breath it was announced that there would be a new Star Wars movie in 2015, i.e. episode 7. A huge uproar exploded greater than the blow of hurricane Sandy. George Lucas would only be a consultant for the next film, but has no real say on what can and can not be done. After much arguing, someone made an interesting point. What if Joss Whedon were to direct the next installment of Star Wars? After seeing the superb job he did with Marvel's Avengers, i think he is one of the few that could pull it off. Whedon has a huge following with projects like Buffy, Firefly, Cabin in the Woods and many other projects he has been involved with. Also, may i remind you, Marvel is under the helm of Disney, which means getting Whedon should not even remotely be a problem. It's just a matter of whether or not he wants to do it. I say we let it be known that the first candidate for directing the next Star Wars MUST BE, Joss Whedon!!
