There is no DAEP for fighting in school. It's against the rulebook. The punishment itself was a mistake by the school and now the school must take responsibility for its mistake and let the child walk or that school is going to be in very big trouble. Being reasonable outweighs policy but the school DID NOT even go by policy. If they need to answer to 440 graduates and 1500 underclassmen, so be it. The student's success is far greater than any malicious policy. If they truly care about what's best, they will let him walk to make his family proud.

Graduation is NOT just for the kids but for the parents too. Everyone at some time in their life has made a mistake. If he's been suspended and and sent to alternative school, isn't that punishment enough? No child left behind, right? Not allowing him to walk is leaving him behind...Please TCHS allow Exavier to walk with his Class. This day is what every parent looks forward too. I hope you reconsider and do the right thing. Class of 1996 graduate of TCHS! Make me proud!
