The Markels are such lovely grandparents. The boy's lives could be enriched beyond measure. In my own life, my 3 grandparents enriched my life growing up in Florida. Gan Gan took me fishing, Grandma told me stories of her hard scrabble life in south Georgia, losing her mother at age 12. She raised the younger siblings so was a very accomplished person, although uneducated, she was a brilliant story teller. Generational love and connection is the best you can give to your sons.

If for no other reason Wendi, consider doing what is in the best interest of the boys you and Danny brought into the world. More family means more love for the boys. Remember, this is not about you. It’s about the boys and doing what is right, even if it isn’t easy for you.

Dan Markel loved those two boys more than life itself. Besides the terrible loss of their son and then not being able to see his children could only add to the horrible grief. Loving and well-being Grandparents should have rights to see and be with their grandchildren.
