Separating children from half their family is never in their best interests. What is more it inevitably eventually turns them against those who cause the separation.

I heard the story of Dan being murdered and his side not getting to see the children. For their sake I pray this will be allowed.

I knew Dan as a fellow Canadian at Harvard. He was smart and witty. It is without any sense of rakhmones to not allow his parents to spend time with their grandchildren. At some point they will be old enough to discover for themselves how their mother deliberately robbed them of contact with their family because of spite.

Dan's parents are good people and desrve to see their grandchildren unchaperoned and be part of the children's lives. It's just a further travesty not to permit this, and denying the chikdren a part of their family history and relatives who would love them.
