Lacey Township is trying to have Caffreys tear down their entire structure and build the new building from scratch.. Forcing them to push back off of Rt9.. one of the big reasons is this is the difference between a one-year restore or a 2 + year rebuild The owner of Caffrey's would love to rebuild Caffrey's as it was same floor plan same layout same size they would just like to bring Caffrey's back they do not want to have to be pushed back they do not want to have to change their floor plan due to the town wanting them to put their entrance in the front, yes this is not a legally binding 100% effective petition what this is doing is showing the township that Caffrey's has the support of the community that not everyone is against them rebuilding in the same location Please join us in signing this petition letting the township know our community supports Caffreys choice to restore how they want.

A hundred people already hit the button and honestly that is just wild because I was worried nobody would even care about the floor plan stuff. It feels like the town might actually have to listen to us now even if they think they know better than the people who live here.

I honestly cannot believe how many people are stepping up for Caffreys right now because I really thought this was just going to be me shouting into the void alone. Seeing this kind of momentum is huge and it just proves that the township needs to actually listen to what we want instead of making things harder for a local business that everyone clearly loves.

I grew up in Lacey, and I remember the old restaurant that was there before Caffrey's. And I love that Caffrey's kept the roadside structure which reminds me of the original restaurant from when I was a child. Tearing it down would be like tearing down part of historic Lacey.
Still have a $25.00 gift card from this past summer before the fire. Please let them keep their original location as I would love to go back and be able to use my gift card within a year instead of having to wait for 2+ years. Miss their wings and hospitality!
This town needs this bar. I worked at this establishment for 7-8 years. I’ve build so many relationships and bar guest became friends. It would be a shame to not let them rebuild. You’d rather have a “chain” restaurant who can care less about our community? CAFFREYS STRONG!
The resolution says 50% DESTROYED The only PROFESSIONAL(Architecht/engineer) to review the ENTIRE site is of the opinion that it is NOT 50% Destroyed. (Foundation, Walls Roof) No Proffesional from Lacey has reviewed the site nor made a determination.
I would love to see a new Caffreys arise like a Phoenix fromnthe ashes, right where it belongs: steps away from rt 9. I have two decades of amazing family memories at Caffreys, and look forward to a rebuild at the exact spot the one i loved so dearly was.
Lacey Township OVEREACH should not be allowed. Same place, same inside. DONE.
Please allow Caffrey's to rebuild as they were.

Caffreys has always been one of the first businesses to support local sports (repeatedly and generously)...it's time for Lacey to rally behind and support them...clear the red tape and let them get back to business as quickly as possible.
