Some young kids make bad decisions in life, but this was not one of them. Since I could remember growing up I knew that when I was to become a senior, it would then be our turn for senior prank. That was 12 years ago. I am now 30. The pranks pulled when I was a teen were a lot more dangerous and usually resulted in injury and destruction of property. These teens did none of that!!! They played a harmless trick...a well played one at that!!!. Other schools like Leonardtown high and Charles county schools have done pranks for years and I have read them on FB for the past few years, where there was property destruction and no one was charged with a crime...I believe these teens deserve a chance to walk across the stage. They have waited for 12 years a school to do so. You only get one chance to do that. And if it is taken away that/other teens are being robbed of the very reason they have worked so hard to be where they are now!!!!

I believe that the people involved shouldn't have a punishment it was innocent and didn't cause destruction or harm when other pranks over the years have been far worse and created damage let these people speak and walk they deserve too!!

Chopticon is the only school to want to punish their students. Administration is constantly looking for ways to ruin the typical norm of high school traditions such as, not throwing caps at graduation, not allowing the boys at the powder puff game to dress as cheerleaders, not allowing the student section to cheer to their best ability, and now this. I am glad the class of 2015 has come together to show the true colors of the Chopticon Administration staff.

people should be ashamed of themselves if someone is being charged with a crime then let the courts handle it, schools have no power over a court of law. administration are finding these students guilty before they have their due process. Was one of the kids involved allowed to play in the state championship game this weekend obviously yes which is a double standard in winning that title while the higher ups from the county and school were there cheering them on. Also it is against the law to interrogate juveniles without a parent being present, so you have the officers getting statements from these kids telling them guilt THEN they call their parents, wrong its against the law.

The seniors spray painted the trailers the year before I graduated, so how is releasing lady bugs permanent distraction? It's not. They were caught! Let the boy walk, and let the other one give the speech!

What these kids did was just a prank....why start their lives with a record? They were young and made a major mistake going into the school...they are being legally charged for that...don't take away their right to walk with their class......they worked hard for that right...I would consider 2 punishments as double jeopardy...

Teach them a lesson after graduation. Much worse has gone on at the school and kids were smacked on the hand.
