There is NO sensible reason why the class president is now not allowed to speak at his graduation. He was NOT involved and should NOT be punished in any way, shape or form!!! The school is denying him his constitutional right of free speech because they are scared to death what he might say! As for the other boy who was involved, LET HIM WALK! It is not the school's responsibility to punish the students, it is the parents' responsibility to punish their child!!!

Let them walk and pay for damages. Maybe community service also. They need consequences that " fit" the crime. Come Maryland get it together.

Senior pranks have been around for ages. They're intended to be harmless fun, and a salute from the seniors to the underclassmen. It puts their mark on their alma mater, their "I was here."
Give them community service, don't prevent them from walking.

Although they should be punished for breaking and entering, I do not see why they cannot continue to perform as a student and walk/talk.

As Class of 2010 alumni, this makes zero sense to me. Find a punishment that is fitting. Maybe make them do community service, or clean the school. Do not destroy their record and future over something so harmless.
