Dear NHL, pleas let Al Sobotka twirl the octopi thrown on the ice at cente ice. Al is a local legend and we all love Al. When you used to let him do it, he got the crowd really pumped when he did it. The two reasons that he cannot do that is because 1) Some stuff comes off the octopus and hit the goalie and 2) The stuff that comes off the octopi could potentially make unsafe ice. First, if Al twirls the octopi at center ice, then the goalies are not at risk from the octopus. Second, I propose that the Detroit Red Wings make a team of 8 or 9 people to clean the octopus matter that is on the ice. Hiring this team would create jobs which helps people. To support this team of people, they could create t shirts that say something along the lines of "detroit- the home of Al."
