It will be a huge support for Abiola and her children to have some stability in a secured environment after the much pain and loss they have been through and are still going through since the assassination of her husband, Sam Famakinwa. Granting them a residency in the uk is definitely not a COMPLETE solution but a pathway to a more sustained recovery after the devastimg loss in their lives.

Abiola and her children has fully integrated into the British system for a while now after the demise of their husband and father who was sadly assassinated some years ago.
She fled from her home country for safety of her life and kids. They deserve all the protection and security required. Sending them back only exposes them to danger. She is a professional with good qualifications and so, will not be a liability but, has the ability to add value.
We appeal that you reconsider and allow Abiola and children stay.

We as a nation should stand against the violence perpetuated against journalist especially in developing countries who suffer politically and religious- motivated assassinations. I strongly believe that Ms Famakinwa and her children stand be allowed to stay here in Britain. We as a responsible nation owe this family the protection they desperately require to prevent them from being hunted down by the same elements that murdered their bread winner, husband and father. Mrs Famawinka is a highly qualified professional. Her family has fully integrated into the British society. Her six year old son was born here in the UK. He has no other country to call home particularly after spending the first 6 years of his life here in the UK. Abiola Famakinwa is not likely to depend on public fund. She has the potential to be gainfully employed, fend for her family and contribute her quota to the British community.
I appeal to all well meaning British citizens to appeal to the conscience of the UKBA not to send this family back to Nigeria as doing so will undoubtedly expose them to more danger.

Abiola has gone through a lot with her Children after she fled Nigeria after the murder of her journalist husband. She's a professional God fearing woman and as a Biochemist should be able to earn and support her children in he UK.The circumstances of her case deserve consideration of her asylum application.
