As of 27th February 2013 the Hebden Bridge Times has bowed to popular opinion and terminated Bernard Ingham's column in favour of a more democratic format featuring a variety of local views.
Congratulations to the HBT for moving with the times and many thanks to all who signed this petition.
We the undersigned believe that due to his lack of integrity over such issues as the Hillsborough disaster and his repeated attacks on wind-farms without declaring his own financial interests in nuclear power, Bernard Ingham is not fit to be given a regular column in the Hebden Bridge Times. We urge the publishers to immediately cease promoting the views of such a thoroughly discredited character.

The momentum generated by this petition has reached the editorial desk of the Hebden Bridge Times. I am currently arranging a formal meeting with the publishers to present our case for changing their column rotation policy.

Sick of reading his nonsense every week. Nice to see some fresh voices getting a turn for once.
Finally! Its about time he was shown the door. His views were so outdated anyway.
ABOUT TIME. Should have happened years ago honestly.
His column was just toxic. Glad the paper finally listened to us.
Never liked his stuff. Always so miserable and out of touch with everyone in Hebden Bridge.
