Somebody should tweet this to Hooper. With the amount of signatures it has now surely that means that there is enough "fan interest" to warrant an extended edition. WE NEED IT, MAN.

If this means we get the extra lines missing from "Fantine's Arrest" when Javert comes up (and maybe even the chorus on that scene that has been cut since the London production...) I would be extremelly satisfied.

I think it's an interesting idea. I never saw the musical on stage, but I did read the book, and there are some scenes which obviously didn't make it in the final cut. I'd love to see some of them restored in the movie.
