9 subspecies of the Leopard are either endangered or critically endangered and they need our help!

The cause of all this is the Illegal Wildlife Trade, conflict with humans, loss of habitat, poaching, fires, reduced amount of prey, fragmentation, illegal hunting, logging and the list goes on.

Just like all animal’s, the leopard holds a purpose in the ecosystem.

The status of the leopard population is key to a healthy functioning ecosystem. Predators regulate the number of animals below them in the food chain. For example, herbivores multiply quickly. If predators were to disappear, the herbivore population will skyrocket and cause great stress on vegetation, which will be unable to restore itself. This will result in a global food shortage and the extinction of all animals. If endangered species are not saved, the balance in the natural environment will be upset.

There is consequences for everything.

What needs to be done is, spread awareness, STOP the Illegal Wildlife Trade, STOP poaching and hunting.

Make it illegal everywhere and punishable, leave leopard prey alone and eat something else and stop conflict with humans.

We could all live peacefully together, but the growing human population is a problem.

NO animal should be used for our own gain. They deserve love and respect.
