Because I've seen the meals and the cuts that cause families to ensure a family member had to come in and feed their loved one because there isn't enough staff to do so.

Have worked at some of these homes. The best one I have seen was at Oceanview Manor. Nice, hot, nutritious meals. The older generation deserve good hearty meals. Sad story.

Glavine obviously believes he will never have to eat Northeood meals or have to eat for $5.60/ day that's why he made such a claim!

Shame on you Mr. Glavin....i would be curious to see your meal expense submissions...i'm willing to be that your lowest tip for sevice would at least double what these poor people have to live on in 1 day....ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!

It is time to watch over the seniors of this country. After all they are the ones that made Canada the country it is. Such a shame they have to live in poverty and choose to eat rather than get needed meds. Then to add insult to injury need to go on a long waiting list to get a bed in a nursing home that suffers cut backs in staff and food. Shame on you!!
