We, the undersigned friends and family of Jeremiah Dowling, pledge our support of him and request that the courts be lenient in sentencing him. This young man has already spent nearly a decade in prison, much of it unjustly. During that time, both his aunt and mother have passed on, and he wasn't even able to mourn their passing, nor has he been able to visit privately with his father or any other family member.
Now he's being prosecuted for a murder without any physical evidence linking him to the crime, and stands to receive a life sentence. He's willing to accept a plea bargain rather than risk spending the rest of all his days behind bars, but we want to see to it that he gets leniency, the minimal sentence, and the opportunity to know freedom again and return to as normal and healthy a life as possible under the circumstances. And so we pledge our support and beg the court to be lenient towards him, urging a corrective rather than punitive sentence, rather than further long sentencing which would all but ensure that his life is wasted and keep him from fulfilling his familial obligations.

Respectfully and sincerely:

This is just so sad. 10 years already and no physical evidence? Something is seriously wrong here. Hope he gets home soon to be with his dad.

Justice system is a joke. Let the man have a life. He has lost enough family already.
