Most students expected the maths paper to be difficult this year, they did not see any of this coming however. The paper was lengthy due to the difficulty level of the questions. Generally, only 10-20% HOTS are approved for exams and that didn't seem to be the case in this year's paper. Speaking on a personal level, the questions were long and difficult. Almost no question yielded a satisfactory answer, considering that it took quite some time to come up with each answer. Several calculus questions in section B were worth 6 marks. The prescribed NCERT wasn't really of much help either.
Most students are relying on grace marks or lenient evaluation for a good percentage.

Making the math paper more complicated and tricky will not bear fruitful results.....it will only depress students and hinder them from scoring what they actually deserve.

When cbse is not planing to include any of the textbook questons..why do they issue cbse ncert text book....why do they make us learn that book in schools.....even after going through many guides we found it difficult to attend such a paper...which simply make us depressed....

The paper was set to an unimaginable difficulty level. The previous year students were already subjected to this rudimentary and hard treatment, that we had thought that CBSE would learn from their mistakes but sadly they have let all the students down... Very good job CBSE..

Very true. Not only the foreign set but even the outside Delhi set Chennai region was very tough. Because of this paper those who expected to top are now happ y to pass.

The paper was definitely not according to the CBSE pattern. About half of the questions in the paper were tough and were not something the average joe had a shot at. The calculations involved in most questions were also exceptionally tedious and long. Thus the paper did not just have tough incomprehensible questions but also lengthy ones with endless calculations resulting in a total disaster. For these reasons leniency in correction must be shown because because of just this one paper many will miss out on getting a 90% and this is something that will definitely be a problem for college admissions.

The maths paper was very hard and a format which was unexpected. For 5-6 questions, we have to study the entire two NCERT textbooks which ought to be useless right now to me. Wasted a lot of time to figure out the question and didn't even get time to complete the paper. Please hereby consider all our requests and show some leniency in the corrections. Our future depends on this.

Being the last shot we have at writing a math paper in our school years, each and every one of us have put in quite a LOT of hardwork into preparing for this exam. But dreams and hopes of making it the best one yet shattered as we started solving the paper. The expectation of thousands of students relying on these marks for college admissions and future references were met with mere disappointment.Whats the point?Nobody gains anything. If you think about it,the pressure of writing a MATH paper paired with tough questions along with it being the last one is similar to us cradling bombs in our hands.Anything could go wrong at any time.In such a situation,it's only fair that CBSE considers the weightage of these exams in our future lives and proceed with lenient correction.
