We are people who live in Lendrum. Help us ensure Capital Region Housing Corporation (CRHC) builds a safe and sustainable social housing program. We need to start asking the hard questions of CRHC:

1. Why is social housing project underfunded? Is this safe?

2. Will the new building last the test of time?

3. Is it fair to build low standard housing for our most vulnerable residents?

4. Why were Lendrum Villa & Manor tenants given eviction notices before the CRHC rezoning hearing?

5. Why is this being rushed?

We want to do it right! We need voices like yours to sign our petition and be part of a solution to help our community grow in a sustainable, safe & healthy way. By signing our petition you are saying “YES” to:

1. Building a, sustainable, safe 75 unit project

2. Keep RA7 zoning to protect the project’s size from increasing

Note: We are a community of people who live in Lendrum, but do not represent the Lendrum Community League

I have been reading through all the stories you are sharing about our neighborhood and I am truly humbled by how much everyone cares about our future. Please know that the questions we are raising together are being heard and I am working hard to ensure we get the transparent answers we deserve.

I am truly stunned by the level of attention this has received. Please know that this momentum belongs to you because I never imagined our neighbors would connect over these concerns so quickly.

I too , believe this proposed development is way too large for the area. A structure that is the same size as the existing complex's is more reasonable . With the LRT expansion it has created a high volume of non residents short-cutting thru the community . A project of this size will even add more congestion.

RA7 is a much better option and a good compromise. Please consider the thoughts of the residents and not just the developer. We are not saying Don’t Build - but we are asking to consider the impact a huge structure will have on Lendrum - not enough space to properly accommodate!! The traffic going into Saville is already crazy.

I think that the RA7 zoning is a much better option with a realistic goal of 75 sustainable units based on the available budget.

There is nothing walkable about this location. CRHC lands in Duggan provide employment, schools k-12, rec centers, shopping and LRT - Transit in easy walking distance. The Lendrum site will require car ownership for tenets access their needs. The Lendrum community league consultation was insulting put down of any objections to this project and they do not represent the views of any Lendrum residents I know.

How can CRHC budget only $175/sq.ft. for this project? And how can it be that a project of this size would be deemed reasonable at this location in this neighbourhood?

Build housing to last - do it properly. If done to low standards - it just costs more eventually. Put people before money.

This type of development does not make sense.

the proposed housing structure simply is just too large, in terms of the number of units and the height of the building. Please approve a building structure that is the same size as the existing structure in terms of footprint and number of residents
