We, the undersigned, call for a visa centre to be established in Leicester. The centre should be able to issue Indian visas to British citizens and allow foreign nationals to register their biometric data for British residence permits. We note that the nearest biometric facilities for Leicester residents are currently as far away as Beeston, Nottingham and Derby. We further note that at present the nearest centre for Indian visas is in Birmingham.
