Lehman Students
The most-cited criticism that we get from Lehman graduates is that they felt like they never got to enjoy one of the most principal moments of their life – their undergraduate graduation. Not only because they have to sit outside during one of the hottest months of the year – the month of May – but also because they are not given the opportunity to walk across the stage with their diploma to conclude one of the greatest chapters of their life.
While we cannot take this back, we believe that future Lehman graduates deserve a better experience and we [the Student Government] have taken the initiative to change the graduation – to make it a night graduation, have students walk across the stage with their diploma, and have a wonderful ceremony.
Please sign the petition, as it will help us show Lehman administrators that we deserve a better graduation experience (Use your Lehman College email if possible.)

The momentum we have built makes it clear that Lehman students are finished with these lazy graduation ceremonies. The administration has ignored us for too long but they cannot pretend this movement does not exist anymore.

These students worked hard and deserve a proper celebration! They're paying for it aren't they?!
This is one of the biggest achievement of our lives. We deserve the opportunity to feel that achievement and have our family see that achievement in full effect !!
I just found out we don't get to walk the stage. I find that absolutely ridiculous. We have worked so hard these last 4 years! we deserve it
I found out last week that Lehman student's are not given the opportunity to walk across the stage with their diploma. I think it's ridiculous and it should be changed.
I would like to walk the stage for my graduation this year. Its not fair that we don't get that honor!
After all that hard work, the students deserve more recognition!
