LEGALIZE TNR in Prince William County VA (Trap-Neuter-Release)

We recently noticed a colony of 6 cats that seem to be from the same litter that appeared in our neighborhood. Prince William County and HOAs need to provide better services for TNR to help cats that are abandoned by their owners.

The county needs to hold people accountable for letting their unaltered pets roam free. That won’t solve the overpopulation problem of cats, but it would be a start.

I have personally TNR’d more than 500 cats. It has made a significant impact by decreasing the number of kittens born and stray cats surrendered to the 5 cities where this has been done.

So many abandoned cats need homes. They keep getting dumped, or irresponsible owners not spaying/neutering. We need to do more to prevent needless suffering of animals.

I’m a volunteer trapper for local rescues. We try to rehabilitate fer as l cats into friendly adoptable cats…at least for the cats that show strong potential in being rehabilitated.

Desperately needed in this area

I have several kittens and their young Momma in my neighborhood that have adopted my roommates and myself. I cannot afford to do this and PWCo is the ONLY ones not offering this.

Cats at abandoned unsafe structure 8001 Maplewood Road Manassas VA 20111 need food and medical care.

Please help cats and wildlife in our community.

This option is the most humane, and also better addresses reduction of feral cat populations over the longer term.

How is this not being done already?

Everyone benefits from tnr!

By not allowing TNR in Prince William county you are allowing the proliferation of homeless kittens. It is my understanding some of these kittens were horribly mistreated. PWC needs to rectify this situation and allow for TNR.

My kid and I lived in PWC and volunteered frequently. We still believe TNR is beneficial to all communities

Please add my name as a staunch supporter of TNR which if course involves feeding the cats when they are returned.

I lived in PWC for 15 years and plan to move back this year.
