One of the most controversial issues seen in today's society is the issue of same-sex marriage and whether it should be legalized or not. As the movement grows there are hundreds of people who support same-sex marriage as well as hundreds who are also against it, but who is to say those who are for same-sex marriage are right, those who are against it are wrong, and vice versa but most importantly who are we as humans to play as God and say who can and can not marry and live happily in peace and deny people their equal rights? The Church and state must always remain separate, however the church has a strong influence over this. Because of these reasons same-sex marriage should be legalized in the state of Ohio. My name is Jalyn Kirk and I am a Student at The University of Cincinnati and I am petitioning for this equal right as I hope others will support and join me in this movement.
