Its just a plant. People smoke way worse things like cigs and drink booze which ruins lives. Time to join the modern world.
Marijuana being considered as a schedule 1 drug such as meth, heroin, and crack is absurd when it’s no where close or contains half the side effects to other hard drugs. We allow tobacco and alcohol to legally kill people while a completely harmless plant with no death rates ever, is illegal and continually ruining people’s life’s with jail time. It can be used in placement of other pharmaceutical drugs that cause addiction and serious health and safety concerns to users and those around them, while marijuana has no serious safety concerns nor causes no long term hazardous health concerns. It’s been proven to heal and help those who would become another zombie with prescription drugs through our government’s pharmaceutical program. No withdraw effects such as opioids and more natural than other prescription drugs that human bodies can naturally handle. Also, hemp has been substituted for centuries in place of plastic and paper which is and has been polluting our earth. Our government talks about climate change and helping our planet thrive, then using hemp in place of plastic and paper would solve a huge portion of this problem. There are so many pros to legalizing medical marijuana in the state of Georgia that out weigh the cons. If the government really cared about citizens they would do better research on how much this plant helps people more than prescription drugs and consideration how helpful this plant can benefit USA citizens, much less Georgians
