We live in America, and in America we are all equals. It doesn't matter what religion, what race, what sexual orientation you are, or how much money you have. We are equals. Homosexual's, men and women alike, deserve me married just like the rest of us. I'm trying to make gay marriage legal in the state of New Mexico because I am disgusted with the fact that my home has such an ignorant law. I ask you to please sign this petition so I can take this to New Mexico's leaders, and ask them to see that we want gay marriage legal. I'm 16 years old, and straight. Some of my best friends are homosexual, and they are the nicest people I know. They can't get marital benefits because of New Mexico's ignorant law. If one of them got sick, the other wouldn't be able to use their health insurance or their money to help pay for the medical bills, and they could loss each other. If you lost your wife or husband because you couldn't help because you weren't married, how would you feel? Please sign this, and help these people become equals on at least a State level of law.
