food trucks create a vibrant downtown and are not competing with restaurants. They have been a welcome part of many cities with vibrant food scenes. If anything they draw people to downtown, something local restaurants should want. Worry about chain restaurants NOT food trucks!

It's ok for the old stalwart brick and mortar restaurants to have competition. Most have been around forever and aren't going to lose their clientele due to a few food trucks, espeically those operating after most restaurants close. Competition is good for the food industry and the citizens.

The only arguments that have been voiced against streets food vendors can all be boiled down to fear of change, which is a really sorry excuse for crushing the entrepreneurial spirit of small businesses. Bloomington is exactly the sort of town that should be embracing growing ideas like this, if for no other reason than to give the student population hope for their own futures.

Brick and mortar restaurants will be fine if they make good food. There is enough demand that food trucks should be allowed to operate in downtown B-town.
