Legalize and Fairly Regulate Rideshare in the U.S. Virgin Islands

Whenever i visit family in V.I and no one is around i usually have to stay home all the time especially when no one is home and cant go anywhere.

It’s about time

Government shouldn’t limit or regulate people who are trying to do better for their communities by empowering private residents to not only make money but provide MORE Tourists with safer BETTER service.

This is necessary when traveling in st croix. The residents did their best at designing an app however it is not efficient and very difficult to use. Transportation and taxi services are extremely difficult to have available kn this island. This would be life changing. Please strongly consider passing this

Ride share would significantly increase the Virgin Islands tourist attraction, in turn it would help out the local economy. Ride share helped me get around when I visited St. Croix and without it I wouldn’t have been able to go and visit the local shops and tourist attractions easily if at all if I’m being honest.

I work on St. Croix and do not have a vehicle. VI Hail has been crucial in ensuring I have reliable transportation for getting to and from work.

The VI needs this...transportation on island is terrible without it!

(STX) Rideshare gives seniors in the community a safe and dependable way to travel from their homes to run errands, empowering them with greater independence, flexibility, and confidence in their daily lives.

This is so very needed in the USVI! It provides an affordable option for visitors and residents who need a ride somewhere- ESPECIALLY at night and when drinking when it’s nearly impossible to find a taxi. Additionally, taxis remain unregulated from having to use meters and make up per person rates often. They collect cash only as a means of avoiding taxes. It’s about time there was an overhaul to taxis here - but at the end of the day they don’t want to work at night when public safety should require them. So, ride shares are a must. I’ve used them several times and appreciate we have that option now!

Would save late night crowd

I used to live on the island, and went back to visit several times. When I did, my family lived out in country and many taxi drivers didnt want to go out that far. The safari stopped operating early. So we were often stuck and had to walk, which was unsafe because there weren't many sidewalks out that way. Id appreciate having more ways to get out where im going when its too late or early for taxis and safaris. Moreso if its local and the money stays in the economy.

Looking forward for this to be passed. Next to impossible to get Taxi to Northside or out west.
