The US Virgin Islands has long been behind in how technology is leveraged for the benefit of its people. This is a great first step in correcting that. VI-Hail is locally owned. Get this rectified so that Virgin Islanders can succeed and grow.

The VI needs to come up to 21st century. No longer could/should the leaders of this community bury their heads in the sand and allow the taxi assoc. to continue to dominate, cheat patrons, and ignore local residents all in the name of enriching themselves with this cash only structure. People ain dumb. VI Hail is very necessary at this juncture. There's a high population of elderly residents who still need to be able to get simple errands such as doctor's appointments, pharmacy runs, or food shopping done and waiting for VITran Plus isn't always going to be optimal, especially if they don't operate past a certain hour. It's time to start truly thinking about all aspects of the community as a whole and start making smart moves.

I have been to the island many times and VI Hail has helped so much with transportation. Before VI Hail I always worried if I could get a cab where we are located. I feel safe with Hail drivers and they have all been very PROFESSIONAL!! Visitors need competitive options. We were able to shop more from local retailers with the money we have saved. Please allow VI Hail to remain a valuable service on the island.

Rideshare is definitely needed in the USVI because of limitations with local taxi service. If cruise ships are docked you can barely get an available taxi. If you are out after hours taxi service is limited or no existent! Rideshare is needed so individuals don't have to be walking late at night because of no taxis available. I love our taxi men, but apps like VI hail are invaluable to our community.
For example: being discharged from the hospital after nightfall it is almost impossible to get a taxi. VI Hail rideshare app has filled that void.
Without it people have to sleep in the waiting room and wait till morning to call a taxi.

This was a very safe fare and nice way around the island during my wife and I stay. Plus the pricing was right. It’ll be a shame if this was to stop.

The ridesshare app helps a lot. I moved to Saint Croix. If it wasn’t for the app I wouldn’t be able to get around the island or get to work as I don’t have a car right now. Please legalize and allow it to stay

This would be a great source of income to subsidize young locals. Also, rideshare drivers would be great ambassadors for the islands. I rarely have a good conversation with a taxi driver but almost always do with rideshare drivers. I live on St Thomas
