How Is it that Children Legally in USA are Often Forced to Leave & Denied Opportunities?

Why do the legal residents have to pay the price for the ones that don't follow the rules

we can do better than this.

Stop breaking up families and sending these kids back to fend for themselves in unknown places alone. They grow up here this is the life they know.

My Grandson has lived legally in USA since age of 10. He graduated High School and yet unless something changes he has no right to remain after age 21. His parents invested everything in America. It is a Miscarriage of Justice that an illegal immigrants child has more rights to remain than him

I am on an E-2 visa with a now 19 year son we have been here nearly 9 years now and are getting close to the age where we need to make big life decisions of what we can do for our son to stay here legally.

When you read the comments and look at our Facebook page one thing stands out. The majority of our kids are high achieving students. They are destined to be the leaders and top professionals of the next generation. The US is crazy asking such assets to leave the country at 21. They could make such a massive contribution to the country.

In support of the legal children and their futures. They are our future!

Reform is needed for these children's futures!!

Myself and my wife and 2 kids have lived here since 2012, we own The Shamrock Irish pub in Murrieta Ca. We live in fear of our kids having to leave the place they call home when they reach 21. Please get behind our cause and let's make this right. We're not asking a lot as E2 visa holders to be honest when you consider we do everything by the book. Thanks.

Legal immigrants should have equal rights to American citizens for as long as they are legal and equal rights as illegal immigrants to becoming legal residents.

Just took my son to the airport got a notice on Saturday that he had to leave immediately, another legal family broken up

Families who are here legally should not be penalized for doing the right things whilst families of those here illegally are being rewarded. Consider the equity and fairness of this issue as well as comparing the state of independence and contribution of these two groups. Time to do the right thing America.

This needs to be changed Our very successful friends are adding jobs and paying taxes. But their children can't stay after a certain age. This is so wrong

As a (childless) British E2 Treaty Investor, I can attest to the huge investment of hard cash and hard graft it takes to maintain a presence here and now, on top of all the sacrifices (and contributions!) they already made, these families are now being torn apart while their illegal counterparts are welcomed with open arms. The system is broken. Not a day goes by without me having to explain the injustices we face, or why I haven't got my citizenship yet (Grrrrr!).

I'm an 18 year old who has lived here a majority of my life, I was born in England and hold an E2 Visa, my life is in America but I'm expected to start anew when I turn 21
