The purpose of the petition is simple and straightforward: to voice individual's support for the legal right to wager on sports contests. Currently, there are four states that were grandfathered in under the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) of 1992 to allow sports wagering, with Nevada being the only to allow single game sports wagering. We would like the Federal government to legalize single game sports wagering and leave it up to individual states to prohibit sports wagering, should they so choose. The overall goal is to give U.S. residents the privilege to voice their support for the legal right to wager on sports as they are able to do if they were to visit the state of Nevada.
