The issue is the HOA Board changing the rules!! When we built, we spent our finances on upgrading the structural bones and the interior fixtures and finishes of the house. Knowing that we could always add a storage shed later, as long as it matched the design of the home! Now the HOA says no unless built with the home! B.S.! At least those homeowners prior to the decision should be grandfathered into the status as of the date they built/bought... New owners/builders should be the only ones that are in this clause! If it would have been so prior to us building, we would have added onto the garage or had the storage shed built during construction and budgeted that into our home at the time.!.

I think a shed that "conforms" to the structure of the home that allows you the ability to put some lawn and garden equipment in it is very reasonable and appropriate. It will not detract from the upscale look to the community because it will fulfill its intended purpose. We are not talking about a throw together type shed from Home Depot, Lowe's, Craigslist or even "Aunt Thelma's" 50 year old shed who just recently passed away and is still sitting in her backyard waiting to be transferred somewhere.

I looked at the HOA guidelines the last week of February and we went in escrow March 7th. I did not realize they changed the rules for a storage shed.

I support this position with the conditions stated.

I agree that we need sheds, but to stucco a shed is ludicrous.

We are for allowing sheds. We understand that they need to be built within the guidelines to be established by the HOA.
