Leeds City Council Renovate Western Flatts Playground Leeds

I have lived in Wortley all my life and the current condition of the playground is the the worst I have known. It’s an embarrassment to the area.

We have lived and walked around western flatts park and particularly in may it has beautiful blossom. The play area lets it down. I think where it is sited is a problem secluded at the bottom out of sight it gets vandalised. It should be resited where the unused bowling green is to improve disabled access and local residents can keep an eye on it so less likely to be vandalised

Needs. Action very poor condition for children to play in.

An important park facility which needs up-dating to serve the needs of the surrounding area where a lot of children live.

This playground is extremely rundown and should be brought up to date as other parks in Leeds have had done to make it fit for purpose again.

I hope to take my great grandchildren there as I did with my grandchildren

I would like to see the children’s play area renovated to a safe standard as right now the condition is poor and not fit for purpose.

This playground is in a shocking state. The kids of Wortley deserve more!

Parts of the playground are dangerous it badly needs updating.

This children's playground is a disgrace and needs to be totally renovated and improved

Please renovate the park, my son and daughter love this park and all children should be entitled to a decent park.

I grow up on the leysholme and loved the park growing up. It is a horrible place to take your children now. Very uninviting for children. My parents still live in the Leysholme . When my parents are looking after my children they have to drive to another park that is suitable for my children to play in. As both my parents feel embarrassed and it is on unsafe at Western flats park that is literally a five minute walk away from their home. Such a shame as it really is a lovely place to walk around.

I grew up playing on this park and now it’s not really in a fit state to take my own kids to.

Western Flatts park has huge significance to myself and my family, so it saddens me that this is the one area of the park I avoid. I would love to be able to take my children and it be a safe and enjoyable space, like so many parks have in the rest of Leeds. Why has West Leeds yet again been forgotten about.

Use the cash from selling T.V.Harrison ground, (which was gifted to the people of Leeds)

Needs a upgrade ASAP

We use this play area for outings from a local nursery! Deffo needs a good revamp!
