We, the citizens of Boone County, Indiana, petition the Boone County Highway Dept. and elected officials to install a four-way stop sign at the intersection of Co. Rd 300N and 150W due to crashes and near crashes which have occurred in this area. We respectfully request the completion of a new traffic study at the soonest available time period so that we can make this intersection safer for the residents of the Boone County as well as others passing through the area. The installation of a 4 way stop sign would increase the probability that any future crash in the area will be minor in comparison with past activity. Increased use of County Rd 300N has resulted in a higher probability that serious crashes will and have occurred at this intersection and it is believed that the signage change would assist in reducing crashes. We are calling for the immediate remediation of the unsafe conditions at this intersection.
