\"We received yesterday at the Rome conference permission from the world ... to continue the operation,\" Israeli Justice Minister Haim Ramon, 27 July 2006 We, the people of the world hereby call upon Prime Minister Tony Blair and the British Government to demand an immediate ceasefire to halt the cruel suffering and systematic destruction of Lebanon. We despair at the continuing loss of innocent civilian life, both Israeli and Lebanese and displacement of thousands of people from their homes. We, the people of the world do not give our permission to the continuation and intensification of warfare in Lebanon. We strongly urge the British Government to not isolate itself from the mood and sentiment of the international community towards this conflict. The UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan has called for an immediate cessation of hostilities, access to humanitarian aid and a peaceful and diplomatic solution to this conflict to prevent further conflagration of this war. This is just heartbreaking. Seeing the news every night is too much. Please stop the bombing now. Enough is enough.

Where is the humanity in all this. Innocent people have nowhere to go and they are terrified. STOP THE WAR.

Total insanity. Diplomacy should have been the first option not the last. Sick of the violence.

The government needs to wake up and actually do something instead of just standing by and watching people die.
