Started going into the Tiv in 1976.It's had its ups and downs but has always been a good and friendly place.

Ian I had working with me down In Leamington spar he was quickly noticed by an Hotel owner who loved him . Ian stands out as a landlord great at his job and very much a people person. He’s a gifted young man who deserves better there lose and stupidity will get them nowhere.

Great little pub. Used to be a regular in the 70s but pop in occassionally when I am in Grimsby. Not often I admit but the Tavern is the better of all the hostelries in town.

Only pub in town that is unique to its surroundings all the other pubs have changed so much can't see making this into a sports bar going to keep all the regulars coming in at all won't be the same
