No. Just, no, never ever. As a former landlord of this amazing establishment, I am horrified to hear about this proposed change. Leave it be, it is the best pub I have ever been in, let alone been lucky enough to manage.

This is absolutely ridiculous and the will probably want to change the name as well yet another piece of grimsby history gone like the Pestle & morter - white Hart - yarbourough vaults - submarine - etc etc the list is endless these names are part of grimsbys heretage and as such shouldn't be changed .

I come in here a few times a week love the place customers and staff I won't be coming in if it gets changed just won't be the same

Doesn't need changing t to a sports bar a great little pub who needs more sports bars when we just want to go for a nice quiet pint in a proper local pub up until earlier this year my grandad was in here every day and I would like to be going there when I get chance to remember how he used to be sat there in his usual spot leave this pub alone

It's one of the oldest public houses in Grimsby. It would bea travesty to lose it. there is no need for a sports bar.

Turning it into a sports bar will not achieve anything ...... no one drinks in town anymore if people have a drink in town it’s usually in the tiv and Wetherspoons because of the way they are now !!! The decor the crowd of people the whole thing .... of it changes those that already use the tiv wil only use Wetherspoons. Seriously changing it will not make it viable business and it will close the same time it took to re open it
