If the dog has not been cross and family good dog owners. I think at this age the dog should remain with the family.

This dog is not a bother to anyone she is a senior, bylaw never had a problem with her leave the dog with her family she dosent have that much longer to live, this is not right nor is it fair to the family nor the dog

If the dog in question has been legally grandfathered into Ontario law, and has no history of harm or aggression, the burden of proof should lie on the bylaw officer. They have no legal right to disrupt your home and family, and this poor old lady's golden years. Do not let them bluff and bully their way into your home. Challenge every thing they do. Worst case, bring your dog to a friend in Braeside so they cannot harm her, and take them to court.

The dog is old and should be exempted from a ban than was introduced after she had been living here without incident for years....

This is horrible... She's 12 she is an old dog you should be able to keep her and I'm sure you fit for when the law was passed

This is a ridiculous law and even the Ottawa bylaw has never enforced it. If you look up the bylaw controllers in Ottawa and the GTA have all written lengthy letters to news and on Facebook stating how stupid the law is and how they never enforce it. I would fight this and use all the info you can find to do so. I will try and find some of these arrivals and forward them to you. I to have a pitbull and have always had them for 30 yrs.

I think by law needs to educate themselves on dog breeds, behaviours etc as it's not the dog breed that's the problem but rather the way the owners train or treat their animal. Pit bull type breeds ARE NOT the problem . The only problem is that people /society only puts out the bad news of pitts and no other dog breed. This angers me to the core of my soul. Iam behind you 10000000% and then some. Let this girl live out her golden years with the family that has treated and guided her the right way.

I do not think it is right in any way to take away a families pet. This family loves there dog and only wants to spend more time with him as he may not have much longer please do not take the do away

Tasha is a true "Nanny Dog".
She spends all day with two children and one child has special needs.
This dog is his best friend.
To separate them is not just cruel but inhuman. Period!
Tasha has never attacked or even nipped anybody.
This is an absurd bylaw!
It is prejudice and disturbing.
I respect and appreciate the efforts to stop dog fighting and vicious animals but to pick on a babysitter is ludicrous.
How did this complaint come about?
Is there an ulterior motive to this issue?

This is disgusting to say the least. You are picking on a dog and their family solely because of a breed. This dog is 12 years old and should be allowed to remain with it's family. Is it not grandfathered in when the stupid ban came into effect?
