Removal of this elderly dog from his loving family purely because of his breed is just wrong. I have never agreed with breed-specific bans - it's not the breed but the upbringing! At the time of the institution of Ontario's ban on pit bull 'type' breeds my understanding was that those already in-situ would be grandfathered so why now is Arnprior going against this? Just so so wrong'

Tasha is a family member. She is not a "breed" to be taken away & distroyed because of useless, cruel human law.

This is extremely unfair! Don't blame the breed. This beautiful baby needs to stay with its family!

It is completely unacceptable to force a family to re home their dog because of its breed as well as the fact that there is no just cause as the animal has no aggression history nor has it inflicted bodily harm upon any other human or animal

This family pet has been in care of a loving home her whole life for anyone to tear her away from her family is asking to reduce her life span as it could make her go into a deep depression. Anyone that has knowledge of pets will always ask a vets opinion first before just ripping a pet out of its home. Instead why not get letters from the public who know this pet and come in contact with regularly before passing judgement. Shame on the government as most of the public would like to see you put down or removed!

A dog should never be banned. It's the owners that cause problems. Some are not responsible dog owners (any type of dog). Many pit bulls are gentle when raised correctly as are all dogs

A dog should NOT be judged on their breed. A dog should only be judged if aggression is shown which this dog clearly does not do. Let the dog live out its final days at home!

Please don't ban pitbulls. I have a beautiful yr old pittie and he's the most gentle dog I ve ever had. It's bad owners that create bad dogs be it a pittie, a dobbie, German Shepherd, etc... this family deserve to be aloud to keep the pet that they ve had 12 yrs and they shouldn t have to give her up based on breed discrimination.

Tasha is one of the most well behaved and trained dogs I've ever seen! Her breed is no reason to have her removed from her loving home and family for the past 11 years! LEAVE TASHA ALONE!

That is unbelievable! No dog, no matter the breed, deserves this. I wish you the best of luck.
Let them keep this old girl!
