My 12year old dog I have had for 11years..raised with my two children. I am being told I have 30days to rehome or Tasha with be taken to Quebec and I will be fined! Please help us keep our family dog. We moved to Arnprior 8years ago and Tasha was aloud...nothing has changed other than she is old now. Tasha has never hurt anyone and I would trust her with anyone on her own. By-law is not here because she is vicious..they are here for her breed. She does not have much time left and our family would love to finish our last years together!! So please help!!!

Absurd! A gentle dog with no history or violence? Leave them be. Breed specific legislation is uninformed to begin with, and enforcing it only enhances the stupidity. Please show some compassion for a situation that is clearly of no danger to the public.
The dog is 12 let it let live the few years left to be with the only family it's ever known for heavens sake!! About time to remove the stupid law, as well as its been proven banning pits has done absolutely nothing and it's the owner NOT the dog! Wake up!
I use to own a Pitbull with 3 Very Young Children. She was the most Gentle dog you could ever own. Some owners are teaching them to be aggressive, BUT Not All Owners Teach their Dogs to be Aggressive. So, take this into consideration before you ban another one.
Taking this family pet away from a loving home in an animals senior years is animal cruelty . This dog will not understand why they lost their family and these children will never understand why they lost their best friend . An absolute disgrace it would be .
It is completely unacceptable to force a family to re home their dog because of its breed as well as the fact that there is no just cause as the animal has no aggression history nor has it inflicted bodily harm upon any other human or animal

Tasha is her family and I can't even begin to think what would be going through my head if someone told me they were going to take away my family member. Picking on a dog for it's breed is outrageous. Let the dog continue its long and happy life!
