4v4 non contact just doesn't make sense, how are the kids supposed to get a feel what rugby league is about. Tackiling is a major component of the game, they need to start as early as posiible. As for the 4v4 aspect, how are you supposed to build a team from 4 players, some clubs would have 10 under 7 teams!! How do they get the playing time they need to put into practice what they are shown. It's a stupid idea, the system aint broke so don't try to fix it.

How wud all the players get on the pitch with 4 v 4. It's been a struggle historically with 7 v 7!! Lads come back week after week coz they love the game as it is, don't change!

I understand that they are trying to improve particpation in the game but when the figures in the North West are showing we are increasing then this serves no real purpose. Boys and girls are not coming because they do not enjoy it, in fact those who do come along prefer it to anything else they have tried. If it altered then the sport is not that they are coming to be involved in.

7v7 and contact is what the kids enjoy. The coaches are great at controlling the games and ensuring everyone is safe. If anyone is in doubt of the way to go, just ask the kids who play.
