The league office confirmed today that the current mini and modified game format will remain in place for the upcoming season. We reached our target of 608 signatures and that volume forced them to reconsider the proposed changes. I suggest we monitor the schedule updates closely to ensure these rules …
Please sign to help NWC retain the mini and modified game program instead of the RFL preferred format of 4v4 non contact at U7s please forward onto others if possible to help them achieve the goal of 600
The petition reached 500 signatures today. I am now preparing a formal letter to present these figures to the league board members to demonstrate the level of opposition to the proposed format change.

Nobody should be resistant to change however change should be for the better. The proposed format requires a lot more coaches who simply aren't there. Rather than increase participation it would decrease ie same number of teams but less players!

The kids all love tha game as it is, in fact the game is attracting players from the other code because we play contact from an earlier age. Take away what kids like about our sport and we will start to lose players hand over fist.

putting it non contact is rediculous, how many kids would be put off by contact rugby when they reached the age for it. my kids, both in under 7s(son & daughter) would be put off playing if it became non contact, leave well alone!

12 months ago my 7 year old son was a painfully shy child. This affected him at school and at home and out and about. Now he is outgoing, confident and excelling at school. All because of junior rugby league in its current format.

the kids enjoy doing 7v7, they can learn more about the game i.e. play the ball, playing as a team, defensive line. I think it's very unrealistic of the rfl to think the teams have got enough coaching staff to make sure 20 kids get to play 4v4 each week. Please listen and have a rethink!!!

Happy with things the way they are. The RFL are going to lose loads of kids by messing with the current structure.
