We can all agree that high school is a time beyond the realm of academics and sports. It is a time that allows students to create fond memories, friendships and experiences that can a last lifetime. Nicknames can be a special symbol of these intangible feelings, helping people to express them in their own unique way. Chisholm has embraced this tradition for many years but for the graduates of 2027, they are choosing to abolish this. This is not only unprecedented, but absolutely unfair! Our Year 11 camp was already stolen away from us, and by taking away the freedom of deliberately choosing names that can symbolise our high school experience, it diminishes a part of our high school experience.
