Leave the green belt alone! Build on brown field sites.

Get building on the festering brown field sites thus making the town more attractive and leave the beautiful greenbelt alone. I dont know why we are having this cosultation it is incomprehensible that anyone would want this except those who stand to gain a lot of money at the expense of the vast majority

There are 144 houses with planning permission waiting to be built at Gunco lane. The site waiting for this development is an eyesore and there are many more such sites in Macclesfield. There would be enough houses to satisfy the housing needs and it would make the area more attractive and keeping the beauty of the greenbelt.

I came to Macclesfield on retiring 16 years ago.It was seeing the fields and gently sloping hills making their way from so near the town to the start of the peak district that attracted me, certainly not the town itself which imany parts are ugly.Start taking this greenbelt and there is nothing attractive left for many people.

No development on fence avenue site CS9. Focus on brown field sites instead.

There is no justifiable reason for the development of this green belt just because a school needs to raise some money. What happened to the report done by Peter Yates the ex chief planning officer regarding suitable brownfield sites in Macclesfield. Did it end up in Michael Jones' bin? There has been no effort put into looking at providing houses on any of these sites. Nor has anyone seemingly taken into account the extra traffic this development will create and where is the infrastructure - schools etc - in an already stretched location.

The NPPF requires brownfield sites to be developed before greebelt is taken, a stance that CEC leader Michael Jones has said he supports. Peter Yates, former chief planning officer of Macc Borough has identified sufficient brownfield sites in the town to accommodate all the housing proposed at LEFA. King's School wish to sell the site is not a good planning reason to approve this unwelcome proposal which was unanimously rejected by CEC's own Stakeholder Panel. This whole proposal for LEFA should therefore be rejected.

There are no exceptional circumstances for changing the green space into housing develpment when there are many brown field sites could be used first.

Coming back to Macclesfield on occasions I see a run down town which needs to be regenerated fill the brown fields but NOT the beautiful walk along the canal to Hurdsfield

This Green belt land should be retained in the heart of Macclesfield. It is steep, boggy site, which should not be built on. We have many brown filed sites in Macclesfield, waiting to be developed.

Green belt was set up many years ago and as far as understand circumstances have not changed to alter the need for this facility. There is doubt in my mind about the number of new dwellings required by the date given, estimates vary widely depending upon the survey you consider.

Green belt should be kept as green belt. It is precious and should be kept for future generations to enjoy. Let's protect our environment and preservce green open spaces. There has been enough building to cater for demand, particularly in Macclesfield. I would question the need for further house building but would suggest any 'affordable homes' should be contained within the brownfield sites close to the town centre - NOT IN OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRYSIDE.

Special County Value still stands - land hasn't changed. No exceptional circumstances to remove from Green Belt. Needs to be protected for the future of Macclesfield.

Land in the greenbelt should be protected, especially in a case like this where it is close to the town centre. It would be a disgrace of the council to allow its status to be changed.
