Obviously, being Mayor of New York is hard and couldn't be more so than it is right now. We get it. We're with you, Bill. And if you want to give briefings, we're with you there too. We need information and we appreciate the time you take to give it.
BUT NOT DURING CBS SUNDAY MORNING!!!
It's the one 90-minute break we New Yorkers get from fear, sadness, paralysis - and it happens just once a week. Dude. For the past four weeks, you've crashed that gentle party - please. Just give us that much.
Yes, we know we can watch it online but it's not the same. CBS Sunday Morning needs to happen on our TV sets - it's just one of those things.
Come on, Bill. Give us our Jane.

Yes! Please! CBSSMS is such a respite from the horribleness of our ever day. It’s only 90m one date a week. I think that’s pretty doable, Bill!

I sent a letter to the NY Times last week about DeBlasio ruining our show. Here it is: Dear Editors: I hope you can print my letter. Thank you for your kind attention. Mayor DeBlasio’s Sunday morning television briefings characterize his inability to connect with people, edit his talks, and show up as a clear-headed, empathic leader. I am enraged that CBS Sunday Morning, one of the few intelligent regular television shows, has been repeatedly interrupted by DeBlasio reading many notebook pages of words that neither enlighten nor inform nor comfort us. As a lover, appreciator, and writer of humor, I watched the Jim Gaffigan segments later on YouTube. Does DeBlasio interrupt our much-needed entertainment, because with churches closed, he can bore a bigger audience? Because he wants to appear before Cuomo at 11:30? Because he is tall? Because his wife cannot take his long-winded preaching? Because he can? Charlie Chaplin wrote: “I remain just one thing, and one thing only, and that is a clown. It places me on a far higher plane than any politician.” Please Mr. DeBlasio, give us back our Sunday amusement. It is on a higher plane. Nancy Davidoff Kelton
