Please leave the Confederate statue that honors my ancestors' service alone. Confederates have been recognized as American veterans which allows them to have VA headstones. Don't change our history.

We should never erase history. Future generations need to know what happened and hopefully not repeat the negative aspects

You can't just throw out history because someone who made great accomplishments also did something considered normal in their time but unacceptable now. Were their accomplishments more powerful? In this case, if the person had slaves, how did they treat those slaves? Pros and cons should be weighed. Also, even history we aren't proud of can be used to show what not to do.

STOP the Marxist anti-American and anti-white attack on our history, identity, and veterans. This statue was built to be seen and appreciated in public, not in some basement or a in a museum. Any removal or destruction of such monuments is a DESECRATION of our honored war dead. This cannot be allowed.

We can't continue to let radicals destroy part of our history! They have no right to take it from us. This is my vote against removing any more statues of our ancestors.
