History should be preserved for future generations. Too much of our history has already been deleted from our text books. We learn from the past not to repeat our mistakes.
These men were fighting to save there homes and families. They are veterans and shd be remembered.

In order to rewrite our history to suit their model, the Marxists must first erase that which now exists. I say they must be defeated! Turn them away.

We learn from history. Why not represent another point of view with a plaque or statue nearby if this one is so offensive to you?

The only way to learn from history as to better see our path to the future is to see it , discuss it , learn from it ! Moving , hiding , or destroying monuments of our past only makes us more ourselves and each other! If you can’t see where you been you will never know where you are going ! Leave it where it is and discuss it snd others like it !

Destruction or removal of any part of the United States History is not a teaching moment. If we support the Holocaust movies, stories, museum when it happened in another part of the world, why are you trying to "bury" one of the darkest moments in US History? Our Children and all People need to know and remember the TRUTH>

Confederate Statues should remind everyone that they lost. Slavery might have lasted another 50 years if not for the War. Leave it alone.

Instead of removing statues commemorating people that our grandparents thought important , lets add statues of who this generation thinks important. There is plenty of room for civil rights leaders , and other courageous African American heroes along with the Confederate and Texas military heroes statues . I do not understand why we cannot have both. People of both heritages and all races have worked , lived and played together in Texas for several generations. We all know slavery was immoral and modern day racism is immoral but so is hate and divisiveness under the guise of political correctness. Not only is political correctness immoral but it is based on stereotyping and generalizations about a certain group of people instead of understanding that all individuals are / were unique and equally loved by God
