I think this is a great idea. My daughter is well out of elementary school now but she did attend Manor for second grade. There was a lot of conflict then between the MAP and traditional programs that hindered the experience there for students and families alike. With the growing population issue now, these seems like a very good solution to both pressing issues.

This would ease so much tension among the parents at Manor School.

As a K5 parent, I'm very interested in finding a new home for MAP so that both programs are fully served. I think that there is enough demand for a single-program k5 campus and an expanded MAP campus to justify serious exploration into this idea.

This seems like an opportunity worth exploring. I do want to state that my first hope is that St.Ritas is able to stay open - it is a wonderful program and offers a much needed choice for many families in our community. But if the powers that be choose to close the school then I would love to see the space used for continued educational opportunities for families in our community.

I think this is important to explore. Our daughter was on a waiting list for the MAP program for five years--we have up. More capacity for MAP would provide more opportunity for families interested in this experience. I'm sorry to hear that St Rita's lost their support from the church. This means that the children in that K-8 program will need to to accommodated in the schools in the community as well.
