During the Spring of 2012, Leann Rimes stalked then called an ex-fan, Kim Smiley, from Twitter to confront her. 20 minutes into the call, Smiley's daughter decided to record the exchange between her mother and Ms. Rimes because Rimes began using foul and threatening language. Once the recording was leaked online, Rimes, out of embarrassment, decided to sue the mother of six, along with her daughter. This is a gross misuse of the legal system by a former child star having a tantrum. Please do not allow this abuse to continue. This phone call was made on speaker phone in a crowded restaurant along and Rimes' Twitter friends participating. This erased all expectation of privacy from Rimes. This lawsuit is frivolous.
