We, the undersigned, believe the current LTU graduation requirements for the Leadership Program do not substantively help prepare students to become leaders.
Leadership skills are best acquired through the active pursuit of engaging within academic and professional fields and communities.
Furthermore, mandating zero and one credit courses is belittling and infers our real-world leadership skills do not count.
We, therefore propose the following:
A. Eliminate the Leadership Program as a graduation requirement University wide.
B. Offer the Leadership Program as an optional Leadership certificate.
C. Allow students in leadership positions to petition for the Leadership Certificate.

I HAVE BEEN SPENDING MY ENTIRE WEEK MEETING WITH DEPARTMENT HEADS TO SHOW THEM WHY THESE REQUIREMENTS ARE HOLDING US BACK!! THE ENERGY AROUND THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ELECTRIC AND I AM NOT STOPPING UNTIL OUR LEADERSHIP SKILLS RECEIVE THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE!!

THIS MOMENTUM IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE AND PROVES THAT STUDENTS ARE READY FOR REAL CHANGE!! THE ENERGY BEHIND OUR DEMANDS IS GROWING FASTER THAN I EVER IMAGINED POSSIBLE!!

fix this now. let us count our actual experience instead of making us jump through pointless hoops just to graduate.
total waste of time. i have spent 4 years working full time while going to school and these classes treat us like children. get rid of it.

These requirements are absolutely ridiculous. My internship taught me way more about leading than a one credit lecture ever could.
