My kids have asthma, would like the options available for at least the 1st 6/9 week of school. The delta variant had a surge for 6 weeks. This might be the same in our area. We should see after 6 to 9 weeks if the surge goes down.

Virtual should remain an option! Why should parents potentially put their kids at risk because the government doesn’t want to put funding into the school districts to give this option but would rather put money into unnecessary things that serve no purpose.

I am a taxpayer in LCISD and a recently retired teacher from FBISD. I retired because I could see this situation coming from a mile off. It would have been bad enough had the governor not forbidden mask mandates, but it's completely untenable now. Unless ventilation is vastly improved, class sizes are vastly smaller, and every single person wears an N95 or KN95 mask consistently, virtual learning needs to be an option.

Virtual is the best the best route with Delta Variant on the rise.
The current policy is unsafe now. Since the infrastructure exists from last year, an online option should be available if masks are not going to be required.
